Who we are


What is Vegane de Bretagne? or rather who is it?

Sandrine Marsaudon Mersch, founder of the Vegane de Bretagne company, grew up in a family of bakers offering organic bread. Being a vegetarian since she was 18, Sandrine has always wanted to put vegan delicacies in the hands of the general public and to make people discover her vegan adaptations of Breton recipes. She then decided in 2017 to launch her own business by setting up in the city of Nantes, following her values and convictions. She started by making her preparations in a shared kitchen and delivering them to organic grocery shops, bulk shops and restaurants in Nantes by bicycle.


The company's activities are as eco-friendly as possible at all stages of production. All the ingredients are 100% organic, the flours are supplied by local producers, some of the raw materials come from fair trade such as cocoa and sugar, and the packaging and labels are made from recycled and biodegradable paper. Vegane de Bretagne makes its own butter substitute, which enables it to prepare its Breton pastries and spreads that traditionally require animal products.
